PENA PALACE, QUINTA DA REGALEIRA & CABO DA ROCA

PENA PALACE
The Pena Palace, located in the historical Sintra Villa and inserted in the Pena Park, represents one of the best expressions of the architectural Romanticism of the XIX century in the world.
On 7 July 2007, it was elected as one of Seven Wonders of Portugal, being in fact, the first romantic palace in Europe, built about 30 years before of the charismatic Schloss Neuschwantein, in Bavaria.

QUINTA DA REGALEIRA
The Quinta da Regaleira is a place to be felt. It’s not enough just telling you the memory, the landscape, the mysteries.
It’s necessary to get to know her, contemplate the Scenography of the gardens and the buildings, admire the Palace, a true philosophical mansion of inspirational chemistry, wander through the exotic park, and feel is spirituality.

CABO DA ROCA
The Cabo da Roca is the most occidental point of Continental Portugal, as well as continental Europe.
Luis Vaz de Camões as described it as the local “Where the land ends and the sea begins”. A pattern in stone with a gravestone mark this geographic particularity to everyone that visit this place.

CONVENTO DOS CAPUCHOS
Convento dos Capuchos is a treasure hidden in the middle of Sintra’s forest.
Its small cells, the Chapel, the Canteen, and other dependencies, implanted in the rock and lined with cork, are a very striking example of the humble and austere daily life of the friars of the Order of St. Francis.

CASTLE OF MOORS
The castle of the Moors is an idyllic castle that is interwoven with the dense forests that have overgrown the ancient walls. The castle is perched high above Sintra and was originally constructed by the Moors as an observational stronghold, with panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean and Lisbon.
